I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Yelp Elite event at the Hoboken W Hotel last week. What a fun and fabulous little after-work happy hour!

Over 125 guests attended, all avid north Jersey Yelpers – who have reviewed enough hot spots to be known as the “Yelp Elite.” I guess I’d be considered an “Honorary Yelp Elite” member because a lot of what I do on the blog is review Hoboken (usually hot) spots. I did join Yelp recently, and will be doing some simultaneous reviews there too!
Anyway, Yelp Elite-rs schmoozed and boozed in their finest attire while sipping specialty cocktails.

Hors d’oeuvres and ‘tizers were being served, but I must say the grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup was the coolest app I’ve seen in a while! I of course couldn’t taste test it (due to my dairy and gluten issues), but my friends said it was delish.

My friend and boutique owner Lauren from Iconic Fashion Lounge and hairstylist Christine Gatto from Salon Caru were present and busy observing and assessing the best dressed man and woman – who were to receive gift certificates from the salon and boutique.

I never argue with a fashion-forward/boutique owner’s picks, but I will say I also loved the back of this girl’s top (creeper pic below) and would have probably picked her (or given her a close second place) if it were up to me:
It was really nice to spend time with local Hoboken residents and north Jersey Yelpers. Stephanie, who runs the events, is awesome. It was fabulous meeting her as well!
